Norrelle Goldring is a strategist in category, channel / route to market, retail and point-of-purchase, specialising in the consumer goods and retail industries.
With a reputation for incisiveness, ‘ahead of the game’ thinking and a candid, realistic approach, she holds more than 10 year’s senior commercial experience in global blue chips such as Coca Cola, Diageo and Vodafone.
She has worked extensively at both ends of the spectrum: from facilitating the annual strategic planning process for Coca Cola Australia, for example, through to managing large teams across multiple ‘silo’ functions and supervising in store trials and new product launches.
Norrelle’s focus is on activatable strategy (not ivory tower theorising!). She drives insights through to execution in store and then makes the rubber hit the road with sales teams.
She has developed and delivered comprehensive training and training tools / manuals for client sales teams and continues to deliver broader industry training on shopper insights and shopper marketing.
Norrelle holds experience in Away from Home and In Home channels as varied as Grocery, Convenience, Pharmacy, Liquor, Education, Entertainment and Leisure, Route, Health, Foodservice, Hardware, Pet Specialty and Vending.
Since founding ShopAbility’s predecessor ‘Moxie Market Strategy’ in 2003, Norrelle has consulted to a wide range of companies including Coca Cola, Nestle, Foster’s Group, Sony, Coles, Blackmores, National Foods, Selleys, Orica Mining Services and TorchMedia.
Norrelle is an Associate member of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), Member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM), and Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing (ASMI) and holds a Master of Marketing degree. She is a regular presenter at industry conferences including APAC and the FMCG Impact Summit, and a contributor to Marketing, Retail World, Ad News and B&T magazines.
